Hello friends! It's been a looooooooooonnnggggg time since I posted something in this blog. You may be wondering what I have been up to these past months. Well, I am now working in a new place and since then, I guess things are running quick and though I have access to the online world, it's just that I cannot find time to post something. But I just miss blogging and sharing the stuff that I've learned or experienced so I will try my very best to be able to blog as often.

MV Logos Hope is back!

The largest floating bookstore is back in the Queen City of the South!

A few years ago, MV Logos Hope visited Cebu and opened its doors to Cebuanos. With over 5,000 book titles, one would definitely enjoy the wide variety of books.

2014 to 2015

The year 2014 is fast approaching to its end. Have you got any plans on what you are going to do in the next few remaining days of December?

Here are some ideas that you may do:

CLEAN UP. Why not welcome the new year in a spic and span place? Or you may not have noticed that there are a lot of things waiting for you to clean them up.

*image from Google

RELAX. I believe you have some free days as a vacation. Why not relax and try to visit a place where you can have a good and quality time with your family?

*image from Google

REFLECT. Look back and try to reminisce the year. Were you able to achieve your goals or resolutions for this year?

*image from Google

GIVE THANKS. For sure, we have received a lot of blessings this year, so before this year ends, make sure that you call up onto Him and thank him for all the wonderful blessings that He has given you.

These are some ideas that you can do and I am sure you have your own ideas as well. :)

Mockingjay (Part 1)

“Fire is catching! And if we burn, you burn with us!”

The first part of Mockingjay is now showing in cinemas all over the world. The third book of Suzanne Collins which is the Mockingjay has been divided into two parts for the movie. Avid readers or even those people who actually don't read the book but just watched the last two movies of Hunger Games, flocked the cinemas to watch the first part of Mockingjay.

Photo from Google
Last Saturday, I was lucky enough to be invited to an exclusive screening of the movie. We went to Ayala Center Cebu to watch the movie. The proceeds of this cause will be given to children who are suffering from cancer. My tita paid for the tickets and as we entered the cinema, we were given some snacks by the volunteers of the said event.

We watched the movie and I was like, okay this was in the book and hey! Wait a minute.. Where was that part when **********. haha Of course, as I expected, not all the parts in the book were included in the movie. There were also some parts where they changed something. So I'll just stop here coz I don't want to spoil the movie. Go get your tickets and watch Katniss as she continues her journey in saving Panem!

Strike It!

The last time I tried bowling was when I was still a high school student. Then, when I was in college, one of the activities that we did was bowling though it was the mini version of it. So basically, the only idea that I have in my mind is to roll the ball and hope that it will hit as much bowling pins. :P

Luckily, I got to play bowling again in SM City Cebu. With it's state of the art facilities, one can surely enjoy a game of bowling with family, friends or colleagues. Plus, they also offer billiard games, kinect, KTV and other arcade games.

Here are the rates:
Php 115- Bowling per game
Php 400- Time bowling
Php 200- Billiards
Php 60- PS3 (1 player per hour)
Php 95- PS3 (2 players per hour)
Php 30- Kinect (30 minutes)
Php 150- KTV

*You also need to rent out bowling shoes if you will play. The rental costs Php 50.

We paid for one game and because we were given coupons for a free game, we had two games! Though most of the time, I rolled the ball on the gutter, I still enjoyed it!. :D

Divergent Series

"We believe in ordinary acts of bravery in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another."
For the past few weeks, I've been absorbed in reading Veronica Roth's novels-- Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant.

The first time I heard about this is from a friend who told me that she watched the movie Divergent (imagine, I didn't even know it was already a movie. haha) but was disappointed because it was a little different from the book (of course, this really happens all the time when a book is turned to a movie). So I got curious and watched the movie too. Because I wasn't able to read the book yet, I didn't have any heartache, then later on, I decided to read the book and bang! I was disappointed. -_-

And because I was left hanging what will happen next, I read the next book which is Insurgent. The second book was okay, the ending was better and it will leave the audience curious and because I became curious, I read the next one; Allegiant.

There were a lot of surprises in the third book and when I finished reading the book, I was really SAD. I didn't expect that would be the ending. Nevertheless, Roth's imaginative mind really nailed the story.

I don't want to be a spoiler so better read it for yourself guys. :D

Say hello to Hello Kitty!

I still remember when I was a child, my aunt sold some kawaii Hello Kitty items and each time there's an arrival, I get giddily excited to see it. haha But that's over now of course. :P Anyways, a few days ago, a news broke out about Sanrio's famous Hello Kitty. And what's the latest news? Well, they just told the whole world that Hello Kitty is not a cat!

Huh?? Are you sure about this? Yes, they are sure about that. According to Sanrio, she is a little girl, a friend but not a cat. They said, Hello Kitty was never depicted on all fours because she sits and walks upright like a two-legged creature. Want more interesting facts about Hello Kitty:

- She's actually British whose real name is Kitty White.
- Her blood type is A.
- She loves apple pie.
- She has a twin sister named Mimmy!
- She has two pets. A hamster named Sugar and a cat named Charmy Kitty!

So, what do you think of this news guys? Well, personally, I don't have a big fuss about this. It's just so weird and interesting. haha Whatever/Whoever Hello Kitty is, I still find her cute. ^_^

Check out Sanrio's link for more information. Have fun!

The Liebster Award

I wonder how celebrities or popular people feel whenever they get nominated for an award. Well, maybe they felt they won already even if they're still nominated for the award! Just like what I'm feeling now. haha Anyways, why I'm talking about awards is because I just got nominated for a Liebster Award! I would like to thank Mau of Mau Sarcon for nominating my blog. Try to check her blog, she's one awesome gal. ;)

So, what is this award? The Liebster award is given to a blogger by a fellow blogger with less than 200 followers. Its main purpose is to give way for new bloggers to be discovered and be given recognition.

Now, here are the questions that Mau gave:

1.) What is your favorite quote in life? Why?
"Nothing is impossible; the word itself says I'm Possible!" - Audrey Hepburn
I like this quote because it tells us that we must not belittle ourselves because everything is possible as long as we try hard and do our very best.

2.) What animal describes you?
I guess.. monkey? haha

3.) What made you start blogging?
When I was in the university, we had a project about making a blog but I wasn't really serious at that time. When I was working already, I have a friend who encouraged me to start blogging-- seriously. hehe

4.) If a loved one was to serenade you, what song would you most like them to sing?
Maybe a song that would remind me of happy memories.

5.) If you could ask your future self one question, what would it be?
"Have you reached your goals in life?"

6.) Skirt or Pants? Why?
Well, can I choose both? haha Whenever I go to church, I really wear skirts but if it's outside or just a casual day, it depends on my mood.. ;)

7.) Describe yourself in three words.
I am unique.

8.) Which fictional character do you wish was real? Why?
I wish Nancy Drew was real because she's really a cool detective.

9.) What is your favorite flower?
I like rose.

10.) What horror movie scared you the most?
I actually like watching horror movies but as far as I know, there wasn't a movie that really scared me coz most of the time, I just laugh out. Weird eii? haha

11.) Which do you prefer: stargazing or sunset-viewing?
I prefer stargazing. It makes my eyes twinkle like the stars in the sky.

Random Facts about myself:

1. I am an only child.
2. I love chocolates.
3. I love butterflies.
4. My favorite color is blue, but I only have a limited number of things which is in the color blue, haha
5. I've studied in a Chinese school.
6. I don't like peanut butter but I eat peanuts!
7. I hate cockroaches especially when they're flying!
8. I love to eat but still thin. -__-
9. I love to visit places.
10. Swimming is my exercise.
11. I've trained for Karate way back 2007.

Here are the bloggers that I nominate:

Now here are my questions for you:

1. What made you start blogging?
2. Who inspires you?
3. What's your favorite color and why?
4. What's your most memorable childhood memory?
5. If you could visit a particular place, what would it be and why?
6. Describe yourself in one word.
7. If you were given the chance to choose a super power, what would you choose?
8. Tea or Coffee?
9. What's your favorite movie?
10. Dogs or cats?
11. What is your advise to people who are planning to start their own blog?

Let's get to know each other bloggers! ^_^

P.S. Kim of Weird Kim also nominated me for the same award. Thank you!

Dong Juan + Oda

Saying goodbye to a friend is a hard thing to do.Yesterday, we said our farewells to Kim Berly a.k.a Oda. For more than two years, we've been in the same team and I can say she's one of brilliant people that makes our team strong. The #CrajeeTeam will never be the same again. :(

So after work, we went to Dong Juan, located at Calyx building in IT Park. Oda decided that we try their Dong Juan burger and so we did. (By the way, Oda is one of the people who always introduce and insist that we try this food and that food. haha no wonder we have the same body structure, aw. :P)

Sick me... -_-

Hello there! It's been a long time since my last post.. well, it's because I was sick for the last two days or so. Now here's a warning for people who love to eat in fast food restaurants: BE CAREFUL! Last Sunday, I ate a burger from a  local/international food chain and after a few hours, I vomited and got a bad diarrhea. In other words, I got food poisoning. -_- Thanks burger!

Here are the things that I did while I was stuck with no work for two days:

1. Re-hydrate. I drank a lot of fluids e.g. water, Gatorade and Hydrite solution

2. Ate light meals. (lugaw ang peg)

(minus the toppings. haha)

3. Rest.

And so yesterday, I went back to work only to work for 4 hours and eventually went to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor prescribed some medications and somehow I'm getting better at the moment.

For FAST FOOD restaurants out there, if you want to keep your costumers, be MINDFUL of what you serve.
