Pigging Out Yobob Lechon de Cebu

Being born and raised in Cebu for more than 2 decades (haha), I've tasted not once, not twice, but a lot of times Cebu's best -- none other than Cebu's Lechon Baboy. In every occasion, be it a birthday party, wedding, anniversary or just a simple get together with family and friends, lechon is one dish that you wouldn't miss.

Last Sunday, I was fortunate to taste Yobob Lechon de Cebu. The man behind this growing Lechon business is a true blooded Cebuano, Paul Jake Castillo. The business is still very young but it's been making some noise already, not only in Cebu but most especially in Manila.

I was really intrigued because one friend of mine, who is also working in Yobob's, told us that their lechon is very different from other lechons here in Cebu. So when the lechon arrived, we were all waiting to taste it and true enough, it is indeed different from all the lechons that I've tasted! The skin was not that fatty and it was really crispy!

When eating lechon, one of the best parts besides the crispy skin is the ribs, but our friend told us that it's not only the ribs which has the great taste but almost every part of the lechon. YES! The meat is really seasoned well, you will not only enjoy the ribs, but as well as every single bite! And mind you, this lechon can just be eaten without any sauce. It's so good!

Try Yobob Lechon de Cebu and experienced a one of a kind lechon!
