Last weekend, as I was passing IT Park and bought some bread in Pan de Manila, I noticed a display of cute pastry. There was this one that looks like the Alcapone of J Co. Then as I read their posters, the Pan de Donuts is the newest addition of the company. I was not able to try one, maybe next time. At Php 38 per piece, one can already have a taste of Pan de Manila's newest product.

Pan de Donuts
These days, a lot of companies are competing against one another especially if it comes to food. Let's take for example the doughnut. In my country alone, big names such as Krispy Kreme, J Co, Dunkin' Donuts are just a few of companies offering and specializing in this sweet treat. Long before Krispy Kreme and J Co invaded the country, the old time favorite Dunkin' Donuts is the most popular. Now, with the presence of these other international companies, the competition is at its finest.

J CO Donuts & Coffee
Who's crazy about donuts? Well, I'm not really that crazy but if that's from J Co Donuts, then I'll happily line up and wait in the queue! :D
When we went to Manila 2 weeks ago and then went to SM Mall of Asia, the first thing that I searched for was the location of J. Co Donuts. It feels like how many years have passed and J Co in SM City Cebu hasn't opened yet! When will they really open huh??
So in the mean time, I grabbed the opportunity to personally buy these precious donuts! teehee ;) Some people are wondering, what's with this brand of donuts. Well, let me tell you this.. compared to K***** K**** donuts :P, J Co Donuts aren't that sweet. It's perfect for people who aren't really into sweets.
There are a variety of flavors you can choose from-- from Green Tease, Coco Loco, Choco Caviar Chocolate, Choco Caviar Strawberry and many more! But my personal favorite is their most wanted donut and it's none other than Alcapone! With it's rich begian white chocolate topped with roasted almonds, it's definitely a hit!
And so--- Tadaaaaa! I bought half a dozen which costs P240.00 and these 24 cute J. Pops Baby Donuts for P250.00. Happy me! ^_^
I just wish that J. Co in SM will open already so that whenever I want to devour these donuts, it's only a jeepney away!

Banoffee Pie @ Leona Cakes and Pastries

| Banoffee Pie |
What I love about Leona's is that their cakes and pastries are not that sweet and the thing that keeps me going there is there chocolate bread and of course their Banoffee Pie.
Banoffee pie is an English dessert pie made from bananas, cream and toffee from boiled condensed milk (or dulce de leche), either on a pastry base or one made from crumbled biscuits and butter.
(source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banoffee_pi)
I can still remember the first time I tasted this pie when my workmates and I went to SM City Cebu just to eat this. At first I was like "okay, I'll take a small bite" but when it entered my mouth "OMAI. It's really good!" and since then, I always crave for Banoffee. haha
A slice of banoffee is Php 59.00 and you can visit their branches in Mabolo (Juan Luna Avenue), Banilad (GQS Bldg. beside UC Banilad Campus), Northwing SM City Cebu and J Centre Mall.

Sweet Splashes of Black and Red
All ye black and red ladies out there say ho!
This was our motif last Sunday for a very special event that took place at Laguna Garden Cafe.
We had a lot of fun and even for a short period of time, we were able to bond.
There were special presentations such as dances and song numbers in which we were able to witness the hidden talents by our co-officers.
And of course, food will not be forgotten. There were a variety of food to choose from but these sweets caught my eyes. haha
*I thought this was Kalamay but forgive me, it's Sapin-sapin. :D I so love the colors.
*All-time favorite--- Buko Pandan! ^_^
*I always scream for ICE CREAM! Mango Ice Cream (yum yum yum).
* Though this is not a sweet food, but I love this appetizer. These are vegetables coated in flour and deep fried. Best eaten with their special dip!
Friends! I love my friends. They're always there, for better or for worse, for vanity or for modesty. haha
(Coz we like to make our lives harder by getting our pictures using mirrors. :P)
And the night was a S-U-C-C-E-S-S! Looking forward for next year.
